If there’s one thing we love to do in Central Texas, it’s getting together and having a good old-fashioned time. You’ll find our events calendar here to be pretty full year-round. Take a look below at some of our signature Belton and Temple, Texas community events:
Taste of Central Texas
A fund-raising event for Central Texas Youth Services held every March (March 26 this year) at the Bell County Expo Center. Participants will get to enjoy great food from the area’s various restaurants, live entertainment, and a silent auction.
Belton’s 4th of July Celebration & PRCA Rodeo
This is arguably one of the largest 4th of July celebrations anywhere in the country and has been a Belton tradition for more than a century. It’s a week-long event, from July 2-6, and starts with a Kick-Off BBQ. Events within the event include the 4th of July Parade in downtown Belton, the Festival on Nolan Creek, the Carnival, and, of course, the rodeo.
Bloomin’ Temple Festival
Held in the spring – this year it will be from May 10-11 – at downtown Temple. It features live music, arts and crafts displays as well as a barbeque cook-off, carnival and car show.
Central Texas State Fair
Not to be missed, the state fair will be from August 30-September 1 at the Bell County Expo. Featured events include concerts and live music each night, professional bull riding shows, a livestock show, and a carnival.
Temple College Jazz Festival
On April 4, 5 and 6. An annual event at Temple College’s Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center. Jazz clinics and competitions as well as performances from some of the region’s and the country’s top talents.
This is only a sampling of what’s going on here in the region. If you’re interested in learning more about our community events, as well as the market for Belton new construction or Salado, TX new homes, you can contact me, Mary Jane Roach, at your convenience.
